I illustrated the book illustrations and book cover for Madame Fromage’s Adventures in Cheese by author Tenaya Darlington in 2022, published by Hachette Book Group in September 2023. Inside are hundreds of illustrations of different types of cheeses, pairing suggestions and cheese trivia and portraits of today’s well-known cheese mongers and makers. It was a marvelous, mouthwatering experience from start to finish.
I recently had the opportunity to illustrate chef Sohla El-Waylly’s first cookbook, Start Here: Instructions for Becomming a Better Cook, published by Penguin Random House in October 2023. Below is the front cover and endpaper design, which features illustrations I created within the book, and several illustrations of food science infographics and sketches from the interior.

This illustration of how to make bitters was commissioned by Hella Cocktail Co. in Brooklyn, New York in 2022. I drew the six steps for making bitters in simple black and white, for easy printing on window decals, tee-shirts and postcards.

Madame Fromage (AKA Tenaya Darlington) commissioned this portrait logo for her rebrand. For this logo I drew her portrait and created a color scheme with a vintage-airline look and feel.

I enjoyed this Squash Blossom Quesadilla at a market in Mexico City, steps from Frida Kahlo’s home. In using Frida’s blue for my outlines, I hoped to bring the electricity I felt at her home right onto the page.

This logo was designed for Cassandra Gonzalez, a personal chef in the Bay Area. For this design, I focused on hand lettering, and abstract shapes inspired by Cassandra’s fresh, colorful cooking.
This logo was created for the West 9th Street Block Association in the historic Greenwich Village of New York City. It draws inspiration from the long history of artists residing here, and the gingko trees that line the block.
Custom twist ties convey a message to customers about the way food was grown, and the farmer's values. These were designed for Certified Naturally Grown and have been utilized by hundreds of growers across the US.
I designed this logo for the Native Roots Farm Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating Native American cultures, protecting open space, cultivating a public garden, and practicing sustainable agriculture.
