I created this map for The Wall Street Journal, highlighting three roadtrips across the USA, from the Santa Monica Pier to Washington, DC. This illustrated roadtrip map shows Civil Rights landmarks, unique museums and quirky roadside attractions.
This map was commissioned for a wedding that took place in Mill Valley in the Bay Area. I worked with the lovely couple to create a poppy illustration for wedding announcements and printed materials, and a map that featured dozens of illustrations for local attractions and special places in the couple’s story. The couple utelized the individual illustrations for table cards and other printed materials.
For this map, I brought in some special hand painted textures, and local flowers and birds. Below I’m standing with a different color scheme that I created. In my opinion, both are winners!
I created this illustrated map of Paris for The Wall Street Journal, capturing the city's timeless beauty and iconic landmarks on each side of the Siene. My assignment was to create a map that highlights both sides of the Siene River, for a story called Which Side of the Siene is Best? published in winter 2024. Created digitally for print.
Joe Coffee hired me to make this celebratory map for their 20th anniversary in the spring of 2023. At the corner of Waverly and Gay since 2003, they’ve been in “the heart of the village” brewing New York City’s favorite cup of Joe. Now with over 20 locations, Joe Coffee wanted a map that captured the energy of the city with special nods to their locations throughout the boroughs. The illustrations were used throughout their 20th anniversary campaign on coffee bags, tumblers, tote bags, email newsletters and signage.

This illustrated press piece is an infographic, commissioned by author Albert Read, to tell the story of his book The Imagination Muscle published by Hachette UK, 2023. I then formatted the press piece into 2 social media slides. The book tells the story of the imagination, and how to strengthen it, with ideas proposed by writers and thinkers throughout history.
This illustrated map of a roadtrip between Nashville and New Orleans was commissioned for the Wall Street Journal for a story called “A Deliciously Diverting Roadtrip Through the Deep South” by Andrew Nelson. This illustrated shows destinations like Centennial Park in Nashville, the Natchez Trace, Tupelo Hardware, historic Oxford, Mississippi, and culinary destinations of New Orleans.
This map of Amsterdam was illustrated by Aly Miller and commissioned by the Wall Street Journal for a story about Amsterdam as a family-friendly summer vacation destination. Published June 2023.

For the Wall Street Journal: An All-American Road Trip Through Ohio. This map shows destinations throughout Ohio, illustrating regional favorites and architectural standouts.
This map of New York City was commissioned by Tythe Design in 2020, as a love letter to all of the efforts to stay resilient throughout the early days of the pandemic. The title of the map is: “Reasons We Love New York City: Stories of Resiliency During Crisis.”
The map tells the story of New York City as a “resilient city,” which, according to Tythe Designs, “is always evolving to sustain a sense of place and belonging for all residents, ensuring all people can adequately live, work, play, engage, and thrive. In short, a Resilient City promotes a just society.”
